Meet Brightly!

Brightly is a full-service, strategically driven and purpose-led technology services company.

Sunrise over rolling green hills with scattered trees and grazing sheep, mist in the valleys, and distant hills in the background.

Based in Aotearoa and focused on impact, Brightly was built on the belief that technology is a catalyst for a better experience, and a force for positive impact in business – not just the thing you think about when it’s all going wrong.

Our vision is a future where technology serves people and planet first.

Brightly is committed to creating a fundamentally different IT Services experience. Where people, not numbers, sit at the heart of how we work and how we act (with our clients, and with our team). Where support is based on proactively defining better solutions and brighter futures, not just fixing what’s broken. Where a deep care for our whenua (land), maunga (mountains), moana (sea) and ngahere (forests) is baked into how we operate as a business, not as a side note. Our B Corp certification is one of the ways we stand behind this commitment.

As the world and technology change at dizzying pace, we’re seeing that businesses need more than a traditional, reactive IT service provider – they need partnership and experience to help them navigate change, risk and the uncertainty that new technologies can bring, as well as act strategically on opportunities that arise.

We help you do all that, providing peace of mind, confidence, clarity, and a smoother experience with technology so you and your team can focus on the real work that matters.

How? By taking a true partnership approach to understanding your business, your people and your needs. And by ensuring you have access to current knowledge and best practice via a strategic, responsive and expert team.

Charles Seaman - Senior Technical Support Analyst

Charles is all about bridging people's relationship with technology — helping our customers get the most from the tools they already have, while clearing away any roadblocks along the way. With five years' experience across the MSP industry supporting  large numbers of businesses, from small start-ups to established enterprises, he brings a comprehensive and diligent approach to every request. Charles describes himself as cautious and curious, an uncommon combination that shapes how he tackles new problems and lands on creative solutions.

A passionate continuous learner, Charles loves that technology is always evolving  and he's evolving right along with it, with his sights set on a lifelong career shaping the future of New Zealand technology and delivering real value to locally owned businesses. He was drawn to Brightly's small, passionate team and the way it backs up its commitment to charities and the environment with real policies,  and he loves how the team lifts each other up. Outside of work, you'll find him travelling, exploring new places and seeking out new cuisines wherever he goes.

  • Alex Harris - Technical Support Lead

A people person first and foremost, Alex leads and supports our service desk team, helping them find solutions to complex problems and grow into the roles they aspire to. He brings a sharp eye for detail, a logical troubleshooting mind, and the empathy and patience that great technology and people leadership both demand. With a Computer Science and Information Systems degree from the University of Auckland, early career years across a range of ISPs, and eight years at a larger Auckland MSP — including leading a team of up to 20 engineers — Alex knows what it takes to deliver a positive customer experience, calmly and dependably. It was Brightly's values that first drew Alex in: a business focused on using technology to better our futures rather than the bottom line, with genuine care for people and the environment. He loves the like-minded, positive team and the chance to get back on the tools, keeping his technical skills sharp while shaping major internal projects. Outside of work, you'll find Alex playing guitar, hitting the golf course or tennis court, enjoying a good book, movie or video game — and most importantly, spending time with family and friends.
